Busy Indian Women Are Tapping Into Internet Services to Focus on Their Health

Somewhere between managing the home and a job that keeps them on their toes, Indian women know the struggles of keeping tabs on their health, however, thanks to the internet, they are finding ways to connect to local doctors with just a touch of a button. A trend which is being deemed as very positive to the female demographic, women in India are most interested in finding the right gynecologists and dermatologists for themselves.

Women are really trying to focus on their health and wellbeing

Practo, a health app that connects users to medical health professionals in their local city revealed that women are choosing medical consultations both online and offline. After analyzing data from more than 6 crore female patients from January 2018 to December 2018, it is surprising that women over the age of 50 are the fastest-growing demographic of women looking for online consultations. Only gynecologists and dermatologists are exempt from online consults since they prefer a face to face on both the issues. In spite of having little time to themselves, women are really trying to focus on their health and wellbeing since they are continuing to search for online consultations with dieticians and nutritionists; this has grown 321 percent according to the report by Practo.

Booking appointments on an app make the whole process so much easier

Moreover, booking an appointment with a doctor has become easier than ever because one does not have to waste their time calling again and again or calling the doctor’s office only to find that the number has changed. Here’s where booking appointments on an app make the whole process so much easier since women can choose time slots that are convenient for them. Also, instead of previously self-diagnosing and self-medicating, they are now confident and comfortable to step outdoors to see a doctor who not far from them their homes, which is an added benefit since they also save time and money on travel. Hence, this is great news for Indian women who are not only looking after themselves which has traditionally been looked down upon and are also persuading others to follow the same.
